General
What is Solsher?
Solsher is one trusted app for everyday life. In one place you can find help from checked service providers, find work, find a home, buy and sell, and share a ride. Solsher connects people; the services, jobs, homes, items and rides are offered by other users.
Is it free to join?
Yes. Creating an account is free, and job seekers and people looking for a home never pay. Solsher earns a small fee when a booking, sale or ride is paid for, or when someone posts a job ad or a listing. Every fee is shown in the app before you pay. See the full list in our Terms of use.
Where is Solsher available?
Available in South Africa, and coming soon to more countries in Southern Africa.
When can I download the app?
Solsher is launching in December 2026 on Google Play and the App Store.
How do I sign up?
Download the app and sign in with your phone number or email address. We send you a one-time code; there is no password to remember. You must be 18 or older.
How do I contact Solsher?
Email support@solsher.co.za for help with the app, info@solsher.co.za for everything else, or call 060 131 7007. See Contact & support.
For customers
How are service providers checked?
Before a provider appears on Solsher, they upload their ID or passport and, where the work needs it, certificates or licences. Solsher checks these before approving them. Their work photos are checked too. Approved providers show the Solsher Verified mark. Reviews come only from real bookings.
How do I pay?
You pay the full price in the app once the provider accepts your booking. Payments are processed by Payfast; Solsher never sees your card details. Always pay through the app, because payments made outside Solsher are not protected.
When does the provider get paid?
Solsher holds your payment until the job is done. Once you confirm the job is done, Solsher pays the provider.
What if the job isn't done properly?
Open the booking and tap "Report a problem" before you confirm the job is done. Solsher keeps holding the payment while we look into it, speaks to both sides, and then decides fairly whether to pay the provider, refund you in full or in part, or close the problem.
Why can't I see the provider's phone number before booking?
To protect both sides. Contact details are shared once a booking is confirmed and paid, which keeps your payment protected and stops people from being contacted without a booking.
For service providers
How do I become a service provider?
In the app, tap "Become a service provider". Add your details and services, upload your documents and some photos of your work, and send it to Solsher to check. Once you are approved, customers can find and book you.
What documents do I need?
Your ID or passport, and for some services a certificate or licence, such as a gas or electrical certificate. The app shows exactly what each service needs.
How long does approval take?
We aim to check new providers within one working day.
What does Solsher charge?
12% of the booking price. Joining is free, and there is no monthly fee unless you choose the optional Featured listing (R149 a month).
When and how do I get paid?
When the customer confirms the job is done, Solsher pays the booking price less our 12% fee into the bank account you gave us. Make sure your bank details are correct and in your own or your business's name.
Can I share my phone number or social media in my profile?
No. Profiles, photos and ads may not show phone numbers, emails or social media names. Customers contact you through Solsher, which keeps your payments protected.

Is applying for jobs free?
